Character(s) In-Game: n/a

CHARACTER INFO
Character Name: Nancy Wheeler
Age: 18
Canon: Stranger Things

World Description: link!

History: link!

CRAU: n/a

Death: In her canon, Nancy stands between a car with her boyfriend, his brother, and one of his best friends inside, firing a gun at someone trying to t-bone the parked car. If we followed the rest of that moment, Steve Harrington would t-bone Billy's car before it hits her, but I'm going to say he didn't get there in time and she died from the impact.

What are your plans for this character in-game? Nancy has a ( mostly sarcastic due to her persistence at her internship, but still ) nickname of "Nancy Drew" due to her need to sleuth whenever possible, so my very basic plans are for her to be snoopy as heck to try and figure out what's going on and why. I also think it'd be fun to see how Nancy handles being out of her usually-comfortable hometown for the first time literally ever. Before there were monsters and whatnot, Hawkins was very much a small town and she lived a pretty dang cushy life. I really love the idea of her learning how to fend for herself, just in the very basic way of being on her own for the first time.

What aspects of this game and/or its setting are you most interested in having this character engage with? Nancy's kind of been thriving with the spooky mystery stuff going on in her canon, so having her deal with spooky but something so radically different than supernatural monsters will be cool. I REALLY love the fact that there'll be personalized events for characters depending on what they're up to in the game.

How does your character generally get along with other people? Nancy's main thing with people is that she has no time for bullshit. She tends to be pretty snarky towards people she thinks are either full of shit or are trying to dish out bullshit. ( Bullshit is basically her favorite word ) She starts off very friendly though, social and kind, because that's how her mama raised her. That kindness melts into something a little more sarcastic and silly once she gets to know someone, but in a good spirited way. But she's very quick to judge people based on how genuine they are, because who has time to play pretend.

What is your character's mental state upon entering the game? Ohh jeeze, this will be the toughest part of Nancy's arrival. Back home they're smack in the middle of dealing with the biggest bad that's ever hit Hawkins, and her adrenaline is pumping, and the stakes are SO high, so she's going to be extremely distressed that she a) died, but b) left everyone in the thick of what was going on. She's leaving her boyfriend, her brother, and his group of friends who she's known since they were toddlers behind, so that's going to feel like a personal failure.

Skills/Abilities:
- Nancy's a GIANT nerd, 3.9 GPA in school, and Nancy Drew tendencies to dig and do whatever it takes to get to the truth of a situation.
- Incredible marksmanship - she's highly proficient in using firearms, despite not having any formal training. Through the three seasons we've seen her use a pistol and a shotgun with scary accuracy.

Flaws/Weaknesses:
- Mike Wheeler, her brother. Her boyfriend and Mike's small group of friends are a weakness of hers too, but her brother obviously takes precedence over anyone else.
- Nancy's crazy impulsive, constantly taking matters into her own hands when tensions are high. She's usually pretty smart about her decisions, but she also sometimes thinks she "knows better" and go along with whatever idea gets into her head, consequences be damned.
- She can be very selfish at times, too, and often has a hard time compromising her own wants and needs with what someone else might want. She used to be somewhat of a pushover, wanting to be popular, but I think in an attempt to leave that part of her behind, she's picked up a kind of stubbornness that very easily turns into selfishness in some situations.

Personality:
Oh, Nancy Wheeler. For most of her life she was a stereotypical "good girl" - 3.9 GPA, member of the cheerleading squad, French club, and an English tutor in her free time. She had a reputation of being a bit of a priss, Miss Perfect. She dressed modestly and went quietly about her day. She spent a long time being more concerned about her grades than anything else, until one day-

Well, it started with a guy. Technically. Steve Harrington, the King of Hawkins High, started paying attention to her. And then she started paying attention to what people thought of her, what she wore, how she acted. She went to a party at his house on a Tuesday, dragged her best friend Barbara with her, shotgunned a beer, and lost her virginity. It was a big night for Miss Perfect! But the next morning, Barb was missing. And one day her car was still abandoned on Steve's street and the next day it was gone, with no explanation. Nancy had so many questions and worries, but no one would listen to her. No one. Everyone pretended everything was fine, and that Barb would come back eventually, since she clearly just ran away from home. But Nancy knew there was more to it, and that was what caused the shift for her to become the young woman she is today.

She realized being popular isn't what's important, that doing what everyone else wanted her to do didn't matter, and above all else, staying true to herself was more important than all of it. Nancy strives for truth above everything else. She's an aspiring journalist, curious to a fault, and relentless in digging and digging until she discovers the facts of a situation. She's outspoken about the fact that she has no time for bullshit, and at this point she's given up on playing nice with people who try to silence her or anybody else that's asking for help. She's good, and gives a shit about people, and she's unwilling to compromise what she believes is the right thing to do even in high-stress situations.

But mostly, she just wants to be respected. She knows what she's worth, and she only makes time for people who want to work with her, and trust her to be able to handle herself. She gravitates towards individuals with the same mindset - people who are willing to work hard for what they get, and follow their own instincts. She's sarcastic and light-hearted around people she trusts ( in normal situations, maybe a little less light-hearted when there's a monster to hunt ) but it takes a little bit of time before she trusts people with her loyalty.

Items:
- the clothes on her back
- her gun, but she doesn't have any spare ammo on her
-- this is the exact moment before her death
